Hey all. Need some help. My son has a 04 predator 50 that has lost its drive. It revs just fine but no power to the ground. Pulled the transmission cover to inspect the belt. The belt looks fine, but there was oil in the case. Not sure if that is supposed to be there or not. Could really use some help on this one. Also, the kickstarter is a pain to reinstall. Do any of you know of a simpler process to getting it set in place with the spring? Any info would be much appreciated!

Blessings,

Jon

Yeah. That is the issue. I put the belt on after I dried It a bit and the quad had plenty of power. The oil is coming from a leaky seal on the secondary drive but I don't know which one as it looks like there are a few. Any ideas.

The good is that so far its been pretty simple. The bad is that I have spent more time working on this Polaris in the past week than I have spent on my crf in 5 years.

Im assuming I need to back it off the remove the rear pulley. I can find a way to keep #7 from spinning with it. The mechanical advantage is huge. Do I need a special pulley or am I missing something? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
